Slumped up against the tree, Astrid was pouting. Waves of pain resonated through her as the evening wiled away. She had known it was stupid to come here all alone, but then she had been convinced she could handle it. She had driven all the bandits off, though not before their swords had stung her. It had been a horrid affair, and it seemed that she’d not been up against ordinary bandits; they’d been too tough and strong for that. Too quick too, with a snort of annoyance the girl rolled her eyes. She had been struck numerous times, leaving her body battered and weak; after they had gone she’d managed to take a couple of paces before her legs gave away.
Now she was stuck where she was, waiting for help. She’d not had a chance to restock her blood skins either; the vampire had nothing she could do. She just hoped she didn’t get found by slayers, or someone with a sadistic streak. But then anyone was better than no-one. She could still defend herself with her arms, and blood was blood after all. She paused, wondering what her family must have been up to. Probably carrying on their plotting, barely noticing she was gone. Or, an even worse thought, they were sending out their skeletal knights to try and find her. As long as they didn’t find her she’d have been fine.
The girl brushed a lock of blonde hair from her face, tempted to scream as another hour passed. This wasn’t fun in the slightest. It made her wish for daytime so she could end herself at least. But that thought shocked her back to calm. It was a silly thought, and so the vampire shifted herself to a comfortable position and waited for what was to come. Just think happy thoughts, Astrid. You’ll get out of this alright. The girl thought to herself, sighing.

Well, the trip out into the forest ended up far more boring than initially planned. No interesting horticulture, nothing new, nothing exciting, just the same stuff she usually collected. Getting a restock on her most common materials was good, but it wasn't nearly as amusing as if she'd found anything new to toy with in her spare time.
Aislin sighed to herself and set her basket down for a moment to get her barrings on her directions. Maybe it had been a little bit dangerous wandering out here on her own, but she could at least make enough noise and distraction with her spells long enough to escape. Still, a situation like this made the usefulness of more combat relevant magic evident . . .
Ah well, if she were attacked and killed, those were the breaks.
After musing for a bit, Aislin noticed a small trail of blood in the grass . . . that seemed to get better. Someone or something was seriously hurt. At worst, they needed help and she'd done a good deed for the day. Even if they were already dead, maybe they had some valuables they no longer needed. Absolutely no downsides to following the trail. So she did, and so she came across the blonde girl who seemed to be in considerable pain, but was taking it remarkably well. If you ignored the fact that she looked close to the brink of death and significantly worse for wear, she wasn't bad looking.
"You're not dead are you? Is there any way I can help?" Aislin asked. Aislin knelt down and started looking her over. She wasn't really a healer by trade, but there was at least a few things she could do. She used magic to hurt usually, but not all herbs were for that . . .
She rummaged through her basket for anything she'd collected with any numbing or pain relieving qualities. She had a few things, so she went about making a mash of them to apply to the wounds. "My, My you're in rough shape~ But we should be able to get you to town if you have any energy left . . . I'm not really a lifter, and it doesn't really seem safe to leave you here to find someone who is . . . maybe I could drag you . . . hmmmm . . ." It was an interesting puzzle trying to figure out how to get the armored girl out of her current mess. She was handling the whole thing strangely well though. She didn't even seem terribly worried, overall.

Astrid heard footsteps, and prepared for the worst, she had assumed that the bandits had left. But it seemed that they were coming back to finish her off... this wasn’t good. So she cursed herself and began to chant a little spell under her breath, at the very least she could form a single blood bolt. It was a shame she’d failed at killing one, a zombified minion would have been extremely welcome at that point. The blood on and around her began to travel through the air, congealing into a ball that she rapidly charged with energy. It would be a while before she could throw it at whoever it was... she’d need to stall.
Why did I come out here alone? Stupid Astrid, stupid, stupid, stupid fucking idiot! She screamed at herself in her head. This is precisely why I shouldn’t have left home, I was warned that I wasn’t ready. But did I listen, no, no I didn’t. Because I’m an idiot! Her right eye twitched at the thought, pure rage coursing through her now, aimed more at herself than anything.
Then Aislin came into view. The Vampire stared at the approaching girl, eyes going wide. The gathering blood bolt fell with barely a trace of sound. Astrid found herself staring, mouth slightly agape. Blinking, the Vampire realised what she’d been doing and looked away. She was grateful for the blood loss now; otherwise she’d have been blushing for certain. Astrid glanced at her as the words reached her ears; the teenager had never seen anyone so pretty. Though when Aislin was able to see Astrid, she’d see a rather distraught face, contorted by anger, one that had until she had spotted the elf was convinced she was going to die.
“Nah I’m far from dead...” She murmured, wondering what the other woman was doing. This was... it was strange; she’d never thought someone would help her in this grim place. “I need... I need blood.” She murmured, not loud enough to be understood; it was more a squeak than speaking.
As Aislin began to mix the herbs and press them to the wounds, she tried to speak again. But she was too embarrassed to be asking for blood like this, it felt... it felt wrong. But the herbs began to ease her pain, and before long her facial tics of pain began to ease. “Yeah I’m not in the best shape I’ve ever been, please don’t leave me here, it’s boring as hell sat here without company. I... there’s one thing you can do to help me... but it’s a little embarrassing to have to beg like this. I’m used to not having to ask, you know?” She said, trying to find her words to ask what she needed to. She didn’t even seem to realise the possible double meaning behind her words, the sheltered youth flashed Aislin with a timid smile, just shy of showing her the fangs that resided in her mouth.

She heard a mutter as she tended to the wounded woman, but she couldn't quite make it out, replying with a hushed, "Hm?" before she went back to work at the wounds.
And then the woman spoke more clear. Aislin smirked. It came off as a little brazen, but that was a little arousing in its own way. "Almost dead and coming on to me? Wow, at least buy me a drink first. Or tell me your name. Whatever comes first. Although, I might be willing to have a little fun when you're in better shape." Aislin replied as she finished getting Astrid patched up as best as she could. She noticed the fangs and grinned a little. "Never had my bed warmed by a vampire before."
Then it struck her and the pale skin was twinged with a light pink. "Oh . . . you were just asking for blood, weren't you . . . hehe . . ." She tried to laugh off the flub but was unspeakably embarrassed now. Still, even if she got some blood and could heal a little, she'd probably need some bed rest, and Aislin would be more than obliged to keep her in bed for a while.
But wait, if she hadn't been coming onto her maybe she wasn't even interested in girls in the first place. Oh bollocks, this was a real mess now. She could really be embarrassing herself and ruining her chances with a real cutie . . . then again if the cutie wasn't interested she never really had a chance. Egh, the wholt thing got disappointing and worrisome really fast.
Aislin tried to regain her composure as quickly as possible, in spite of feeling horribly embarrassed and like she'd made a mess of the whole situation now. She rolled up her sleeve and guided her arm to Astrid's mouth. "This . . . isn't going to turn me into a vampire is it?" Aislin asked a little nervously, starting to regret how quickly she'd acquiesced. Fortunately, the idea of being immortal with a few restrictions wasn't totally unappealing. Noy certainly seemed to have fun with it.
"Hm~ One condition. Once you're back in good enough shape to get back to town, as payment for saving the beautiful princess, I want a kiss." Aislin commented teasingly. That wouldn't be too much to ask for even if she wasn't interested, right? Plus it could give her a way to test the waters a little . . . "That's not too much to ask for a little of my own life- blood, is it?" Aislin asked.
