Rain matted Ailin's black hair down to her face as she rushed into the Inn which seemed like the only potential safe haven for the night. The fabric of the Lilac robes she elected for her wardrobe clung to her skin, though given her armor, the effect wasn't much different side from the robes feeling heavy, cold, and refusing to let her skin breath. The rain was a true inconvenience as she'd meant to travel a bit farther before stopping, but the way it just pelted down necessitated a top for the night, and thus she was drenched.
It wasn't too bad, though, if you thought about it differently. Hyo Shin wouldn't be a bad place to settle down a more solid base of operations. Being tied down to one location had its inconveniences, but it also had conveniences in equal measure. Mostly a guaranteed place to curl up with a book and a glass of wine. Or even just the wine. Or even another person. Having the luxury to be able to do that consistently did sound rather nice.
She became more sold by the minute as she examined her surroundings and examined the inn. It didn't really seem like bad place to stay. At the very least it would give her a place to retreat to consistently rather than relying on strangers and hoping they wouldn't confuse her for the other kind of Dark Elf. The kind with spiders and blood magic that lived under ground, though if she were honest, she didn't really mind spiders and her own magic was only a step above forbidden blood arts, if for no other reason than it didn't actually use blood.
She let out a hearty sigh and checked her funds. She had enough to cover a room . . . maybe even rent it out for an extended period of time, by her estimate, though it would leave her quite a bit more poor than she had been previously. On the other hand, the added security seemed worth it. Even if she didn't turn out to have enough, it couldn't hurt to ask, and maybe she could ask about a different place to stay, or ply her way for an answer.
There it, was decided.
"Excuse me~! I'd like to rent a room here." she called out in a chipper voice that belied her frustration at the rain that had initially driven her into the Inn. A Change of clothes and a bath sounded wonderful if she could get them here. Maybe someone even had some nice mulled wine.
