Annariel took a long and mouthy deep breath of Velen's air. Well rather of the air of the town around Hyo Shin Fortress. It smelled like any human city and that smell was rancid.
"Pueh..." Annariel stuck out her tongue, she also smelled horse dung and some rancid smell. Why couldn't humans keep their towns clean? Was it too inconceivable or were they just simply slothful? Hopeless totally hopeless.. With a heavy handed sigh Annariel adjusted her backpack and waved one last time at the caravan chief. She had come to Velen by tagging along with a caravan of traders and the journey had been uneventful. Which suited Annariel just fine, though to be frank she had been expecting this land to be more ominous and dangerous looking. But it looked just like any other place in the Empire.
After grabbing a light meal in a food stand. The heavily armored, very large elven woman with flowing silvery hair and glare-y looking red eyes asked for directions to the closest inn. She discovered that there was only one, at least the building looked nice. Walking in as if she owned the place, Annariel loudly shoved the door open.
"GOOD DAY!" She spoke loudly and gallantly, as she watched the insides, though the better description was that her expression was a bit scary or at least judgmental. The place looked nice enough, she had certainly slept in worse places. So unless they charged an exorbitant amount it looked as best as any other place to sleep in and store her luggage. Well at least until she could find a more permanent residence.
Strolling toward the counter, with her armored gauntlet Annariel gently ringed the bell. "I wonder if this place includes breakfast..." The Elven Woman mused out loud. When she noticed what she assumed to be the attendant appear, Annariel smiled nicely. "Room for one if you could be so kind." With courtly manners, Annariel decided to introduce herself. Even in a human city maintaining her etiquette was important for the gallant but hot headed Annariel. "Under the name of Annariel Aemys."
