Neal remained quiet after his "talk". He briefly turned his attention to Kai, when he addressed his opinion that they were similar. It was true that the two of them shared several common grounds but the bastard mage also believed that though their thought processes might conclude in the same way, there was a key difference between the two. Neal was a man who preferred bending people to his will and hiding his intentions. Kai on the other hand seemed more honest and straight forward in his approach. At the very least they sought power but how they obtained was wholly different. Regardless at least for the moment the situation had been diffused. Sachiko bended to reason and Kai dropped his abrasive challenging. Briefly Neal concluded once more that followers of the sword were a peculiar bunch and he didn't get the reason of their "pride". Still Neal decided to keep a close attention on Sachiko's mood and Kai, he didn't relish their outbursts to happen during the journey or in a more delicate situation. Quietly Neal took the package and neatly packed it into his satchel. The feeling Neal got from just holding the package was that it was some sort of small wooden case, sealed and wrapped it was obviously either precious or expensive. Without further a do, Neal decided it was prudent to move out. They had wasted enough time already. Narration The better part of journey was uneventful. The main route to the ruined village was a patchy dirt road that circled around the forest proper. Though long abandoned the trail remained and with the addition of the directions given by the employer the trek was as smooth as one could hope it to be. After a couple of hours, it became painfully clear that the ghost village was close. Wisps of mist trailed around the edges of the woods and the air grew colder, visibility decreased the closer one got to the village. Though hardly lifeless, the surroundings became more oppressive and the feeling of abandonment was more and more evident. There were hardly any sounds save the distant creaking of woods and the wind. However, to the seasoned traveler and experienced adventurer there was one unmistakable "feeling" in the air. It was the feeling of being watched and of bloodlust. A wolf howled nearby. Even with the poor visibility, it was clear enough that the party had been surrounded by a pack of wolves. They kept to the edge of the forest and stalked the group. But clearly waiting for an opportunity to attack. The animals looked half starved and mad with hunger. Encounter: 8 Wolves surround the party. Bestiary Entry: Wolves are a common animal on the frontier of Velen. Lupine hunters of considerable cunning. They work in packs of 6-14. They rarely openly engage in combat with large groups and prefer to attack isolated individuals. They use hit and run attacks to exhaust their prey until it becomes easy to take down. They are fast and intelligent predators. However, because of their intelligence they also know when to back away and cut their loses. A smart party can exploit this behavior.

Surrounded by wolves, break through! As she lowers her guard and hands the Neil the package, it seems that she's come to her senses and won't be an issue, allowing me to lower my guard against her. It seems we're all in agreement that we should head out, and we do so.
The journey there is relatively uneventful. Sachiko leads the way, with myself following right behind her and Neil with the goods behind me. Along the way, we head past the supposed "ghost town" with wisps and other spiritual entities around us, but for the moment they don't seem to be an issue. All of a sudden, the hums and noises in the distance become clear... We're surrounded. I quickly draw my blade and look around and tell the others of our situation. "It seems we're surrounded... a pack of wolves it seems." I move next to Sachiko and tell her what I plan on doing. "I'm going to break through the ones in front. If we thin their numbers a bit they'll realize how outmatched they are and retreat." I pull out three throwing needles from my pocket and look at the enemy in front of us. Two each to our sides, two in front and two behind. For now, the ones blocking are path are the obstacles that concern me, but aside from that we have to worry about the package Neil has. "Stay close to Neil and protect him, rather the package. The package is all that matters." I then break away from her and throw the needles at the wolf in front to our left. The easily dodges most of it, but it does get gazed my attack... which is all I need to begin. "I have you now... Curse!" By focusing on the beast, I bind our fates together, casting a curse on it. Now I can cast my spells more freely. While, I was focusing on the one, both of the ones in front saw the opportunity to attack me, however as soon as my curse is cast, the cursed target slows down considerably, enough to give plenty of time to deal with it. That just leaves the other one that's unimpeded... I ready my free hand that previously held the throwing needles and prepare a fireball, and with my sword hand, cut the foe as tries to attack me. "That's one down... seven to go..." FootNotes

After the long walk and silence that came with it, which didn't bother her at all, the group slowly approached what seemed to be the ghost town. The dead silence, the lack of life and the dense fog made it evident as they moved closer. Sachiko had her hands in her weapons already, she could feel the danger and she was prepared. Her team would not fall to an ambush and no matter what threat they'd encounter, she'll carry them through. Her worries, although true didn't discourage her. They were surrounded by a hungry pack of wolves and as a hybrid she could relate what their attack patterns would be.
"..." Before she could speak herself up she listened to Kai, telling her what he was going to do and instantly rushing for it. She didn't like the guy and the strategy to run forward against enemies surrounding you is pure suicide... well, better for her, she would get more money and a nuisance out of the way. She still had to deal with the others and she had just the move for it.
"I trust you will handle yourself well, just keep whatever tricks you have to yourself in a short range... I'll deal with them all" Sachi gasped, entering in a state of trance as she drew her two swords out. Surrounded by enemies and having her two swords in her hands only meant that she was ready to go on her Berserk stance, a deadly ability of her class that allows her to attack all of her enemies at ultra speed weakening them to then come back and finish them off. The trance was instant and from this point on she would start attacking and attempting to kill her enemies until all of them died.
"When one sword isn't enough to protect my people, two will do" said Sachi in a state of trance, her calm face now changing into one filled with blood-lust. A smile that expressed excitement at the disadvantage they were in.
"Ai..." Said Sachi as she raised her swords in front of her, aiming at one of the wolves in front of her who was aiming for Kai's back. "Kirai..." whispered her as she closed her eyes quickly adopting an offensive stance and disappearing in the eyes of her allies, almost invisible to the wolves due the fog and her speed plus her smooth movement making her almost silent as she ran through the pack.
Right after she vanished, the only sound that everyone around could hear was her sword slashing through the fur and the skin of the wolves and the word "Kirai" from her mouth coming out as a whisper every time a cut was dealt. Sachiko moved swiftly and cut through all of them smoothly until she stopped a few meters of their back-line and her sword "Kirai" now in front of her, the air surrounding Sachiko felt heavier than before and a quick glance at her could easily tell that she never meant to let any of them escape in the first place.
OOC: From this point on, all the wolves have their front legs wounded making them unable to move as fast as they usually would plus leaving a trail of blood to follow if they were to escape. While under the effects of the Berserk Stance, Sachiko won't stop until all the wolves are dead or one remains alive. She's unable to speak or listen to her allies and her mind is clouded with must to kill her enemies.

The "trek" to the Ghost Village was for the vast part uneventful. Both his companions despite their initial outbursts seemed to be on the quiet side which to Neal suited just fine, though not an introvert like most would assume him to be and just as comfortable around loud people, he could appreciate degrees of stoicism from his companions.
Neal made it a habit to check the gradual change of scenery. Under his brown robe he could feel his magical tome vibrate lightly. Neal had no particular sensitivity to detect magic but he could tell that a spell of colossal scale and power had been cast here. There was a curse upon this patch of land. The perpetual fog might just be a secondary effect if that was the case.
Neal is drawn from his internal observations by the voice of Kai and the unsheating of both of his companion's slender blades. Beneath his hood, Neal quietly gazed around. Beyond the edge of the road and through the woods he could make out the form of lupine animals.
"Wolves..." He muttered quietly, well at least they weren't bandits or some sort of undead monstrosity. Pulling out his tome from it's bindings and flipping it open, with practiced ease Neal focused on his spells. Sachiko seemed to have entered a state of trance, while Kai sought to break through the encirclement, instantly felling one of the wolves with some type of curse.
Sachiko meanwhile seemingly vanished in a "flash" of speed, Neal barely managed to react to the sudden action and then hearing the wolves around them whimpering in pain as their legs got slashed at. The bastard mage frowned and continued his observation, calmly. However, because both of his companions had left him alone, Neal became the prime target for the wolves. From his right and his left, came two sprinting (albeit slower than normal) wolves.
"Don't worry about me." He stated. Magical energy surged from the Tai'yan-Oh Grimoire. "Theorem of Farnout's Displacement: Almauth." He chanted and vanished just as the wolves pounced at him. Instantly, Neal warped and teleported his location, he appeared on a high up thick branch. The old wood creaked under his weight but it did not fall. With a pleased grunt and still holding his tone open, the blurred figure of the mage continued his spell casting. Aiming at the wolves that had attacked him.
"Amalgam of Elemental Blast: Fire!" Instantly, Neal gestured his arm at one of the wolves and it briefly glowed orange, then instantly released a blast of magical fire that impacted on the side of the confused wolf. The animal died from the impact and it's form became engulfed in flames. The other wolf began to retreat back into the woods...
Easy.

Retreating Wolves, a simple victory Soon after my charge at the enemy, Sachiko follows suit telling to keep whatever "tricks" I have in short range. Hm, that obviously doesn't take into consideration the spells I have in my arsenal. She also tells me, she'll deal with them all... "..." I understand she's skilled, but does she really think can take them all without backup from us. While, her getting killed would mean more gold in my pocket, I'd rather not have someone I work with die so carelessly in-front of me. As I ready my spell in my free left hand, two of the wolves from behind me come in to try to reach me... but, Sachiko intervenes injuring them and slowing them down after whispering a word. Whatever the meaning is off little to concern to me, when push came to shove, she did her task. Quickly glancing forward I take note of my cursed target coming in at me, and the remaining wolves in the back coming at me. With my blade I stabbed the cursed target in the neck, insuring it's death, but not an instant one and at the moment the blade strikes the wolf's neck with my left hand launch a ball of fire at one of the wolves burning it to death, in time for me to get my return cast back in and sending the other one running for it's life.. "Hm, that's three more down." At that moment, Sachiko says another word before nearly disappearing and attacking the remaining wolves in a burst of speed. ... She really is as dangerous as I thought... If we did fight... I certainly couldn't afford to hold back. At the end of her attack, it seems all the remaining wolves have been slowed considerably... that should make them easy pickings... At that moment from behind us, two more go after Neal with the package, who reassures us, he'll be fine before he teleports above in a nearby tree and launches a fire ball of his own at one of them, bringing it down. I ready more throwing needles to prepare the massacre of the rest, but it seems we've taken enough of them down quickly enough, where they realize they don't have a chance and they make there way in full retreat. I simply stand there, and allow the injured wolves to limp away as they don't pose a threat to us anymore. "Hm, we better finish this job up." Before a quick pause, I turn to the other two who accompanied me along this quest and apologize. "Sorry about before... you two preformed your jobs quite well. I'm certain any future quests you two participate in will be fruitful." FootNotes

Now led by her sword, Sachiko entered the second stage of her Berserk dance. Still outnumbered the wolves decided to leave the group alone, crippled and with 1 loss would be better than nothing but a worst fate had yet to come for them. In this second stage, Sachi's movement is slowed, making her somehow visible to her teammates if she was standing anywhere close to them but still fast enough to easily catch up to the fleeing wolves. In exchange to her slower speed however, all of her blows now were deadlier and the only objective in her eyes was to kill them all.
"hehehe..." A faint laugh could be heard from the wolves back-line, away from her team and covered by a mantle of fog where she couldn't be spotted. She was now moving towards the wolves in front of her, slashing through their flesh from their back and watching her blade cut through them as if it was butter. The bloody scenery could be gruesome to watch if it was not thanks to the fog covering it. The following seconds of "silence" would only be cut by Sachi's voice in the background, laughing while enjoying watching her enemies dead. The wolves in the back-line were now cut in half and their blood spattering on the ground, the remaining ones that were attacking her allies, unluckily ran in her direction making it easier for her to aim at both of them with her swords. The wolves running away in fear were either too scared or too worried about the foes behind them that didn't notice Sachi in front of them with her swords ready to pierce through their bodies. The agonizing sound of the remaining wolves as their bodies were pierced by swords were the last thing that filled the air before Sachi re-gained her sense.
A few seconds passed before she gained her composure, at her feet the blood and bodies of the wolves she brutally murdered remained there. The scenery was of no surprise for her as she has been used to it before, the same as the tiredness that came after stressing her body so much. She could tell that her team was ahead of her so she quickly took her swords off the bodies of the wolves she pierced and proceeded to walk ahead approaching her team. After arriving with them again, barely noticing Neal on a tree and Kai with the rest of the wolves dead near him she gasped in relief. Her clothes stained with the blood of the wolves she killed as well as her blades were proof of her success in leaving nobody alive.
"Apparently I killed some on my end... and I see you managed to stay alive as well" Said Sachi while glancing at both her allies. It seemed that they were all close to the destination given how thick the fog was turning. "Shall we continue?" Asked Sachiko even though she knew the answer. She then in a swift swing cleaned the blood off her blades and saved them, moving ahead to the destination point.

With no further threats in sight, Neal proceeded to sit down on the branch and quietly study how his companions fought. They were both capable and frightening swordsmen, and briefly the mage was glad that their 'pride' as practitioners of the blade didn't cause a tragedy when they both clashed earlier. It would have been a waste of talent that could otherwise serve Neal, so he was content that they could be made to work for him. Given time of course.
With his grimoire sitting open on his lap, Neal payed no real mind to the sound of the wolves carnage but more to the fighting style of his companions. Kai used curses and magic to supplement his swordsmanship while Sachiko seemed to enter some form of trance. Making the appropriate mental notes and seeing as the wolves were taken care of. Neal prepared his teleportation spell. He was way to high up in a tree to jump down and climbing down would be an unnecessary waste of time.
"Theorem of Farnout's Displacement: Almauth." With that, Neal teleported next to his companions. Still with his figure blurred and hazy as a side effect of his spell. Neal decided not to put away his magical tome and retain the magical energy of his Arcane Cascade, seeing as they were in dangerous territory and perhaps their next threat.
"I'm it will be profitable." With a simple agreement nod, Neal responded to Kai while shifting his attention to the blood soaked Sachiko who asked if they should move on. "No point in standing around here." He replied.
Neal closed his tome but kept it on his hand, he shifted his attention to the swirling magic inside of him and as their journey continued kept his focus mainly on holding his magical energy.

Narration
The last legs of the journey were uneventful. There were no further encounters with wildlife and the spirits around the dead woods kept out of the group way. At no point did the fog let out and even at it's thickest the feeling of being watched was unmistakable. Yet there was never anyone nearby nor any sign of movement on the dry woodland or on the patchy dirt road. Luckily even with the thick fog that reduced visibility, the silhouette of the ruined windmill was hard to miss. It was situated outside the Ghost Village on a hill on the western side of the outskirts. Meaning that thankfully, the party could avoid going through the Ghost Village and potentially upsetting whatever lurked in that cursed place. Just as instructed the well was next to the Windmill and just like the Ghost Village, the area looked deserted. That is until the group approached the drop off point. "Late, you are late." A voice spoke out. Appearing from the windmill, a tall dark skinned human emerged. Half of his body was covered in black metal plates, at his side he had a katana sheated and one hand held a great sword, which he comfortably rested over his shoulder. You can also see a pouch on his belt, probably your payment. He had a stoic expression and his tone was blunt, devoid of niceties. He seems to be alone, not that he looks uncomfortable or worried. Sachiko & Kai: Due to your training and lifestyle, you can tell that the strangers has the bearing of a master swordsman. Despite his size and his muscles you can tell that he isn't a bruttish thug flouting his weapons or trying to be intimidating, but someone who has put a great deal of training in mastering the sword. You both can also tell that the quality of his swords and his armor far outranks yours.Neal & Kai: Due to your magical education you can also tell that there are signs of magic having been used here recently. You also feel like you are being watched through magical means, this time there are no attempts at subtlety. "You have the package yes? hand it over." Paying no attention to formalities, the mysterious swordsman demands the package. A cold wind blows behind you and the broken blades of the windmill begin to spin...

After their short encounter, Sachi decided to walk on ahead past the ghost town and to the nearby hill where the silhouette of a Mill could be seen from the distance. According to the task given, this was supposed to be the point where they had to drop the package and it sort of made sense in her head, the thick fog that they were dealing with before was nearly faint in the place and without signs of danger nearby it felt like she could let a gasp of relief out for once.
Sachiko turned around after reaching the Mill to look out for her comrades who were not too far away from her without realizing the presence that slowly approached near the place. As her party arrived, a new possible threat appeared. What seemed to be like a very muscular male showed up near the place asking for the package they were carrying, he also didn't seem like someone you would take lightly, Sachiko realized this after carefully analyzing him over his words. She also instantly realized that getting into a fight with him would probably end up badly for them, she was skilled with her sword but this man was different, this was a fight she didn't want to be part of.
"..." There wasn't really anything Sachiko could say. The air was tense and any mistake could probably take things into a wrong way, she was also not the best with words or negotiation and she didn't have the package either. Instead, Sachiko this time decided to retreat slowly near Kai and Neal's side with her hand on the hilt of her sword. Whether they decided to fight or not she would be prepared and from this moment on, she just decided that being quiet was the best choice.
