Though that evening a gentle sunset hung over Hyo Shin, the overcast skies and humid air alongside it threatened to rain on short notice – and no noble lady would be caught in the rain without a roof (or a very fancy umbrella). Hence, Natasha had to give in… ideally, she would have liked to lurk around some abandoned home and make something special from it; but as Hyo Shin’s surrounding settlement struggled to survive as it is, it seemed to be merely wishful thinking at this point. Not that hiring a room was that loathsome a thought, but she’d heard unfortunate rumours about the Heaven’s Door already… she hardly needed the additional stress, at this point. Work for a witch wasn’t exactly in short supply, but she’d really rather do something grand rather than fuss over peasants’ ailments or clothes for once. But alas, the promise of good food and dry clothes was too much for the blind blonde; and so here she was. With elegance that belied her lack of sight, Natasha gently strode into the inn… the sound of casual chatter, the clink of glasses, the flicker of fire… ah, but far more importantly, the scent of fine food, dancing amongst the aged wood around it. While her staff gently tapped before her, her path was predominantly traced by sound and scent; slowly manoeuvring to the inn’s counter. A frown coloured her face, though, dissatisfied by her situation; relying on services in this manner wasn’t really her usual way of life. On top of that, amongst the hustle and bustle, she had no chance to use her familiar to give herself at least a snapshot of her surroundings… though she had utmost faith in herself to the point of taking pride in her blindness; she didn’t really like leaving herself so vulnerable in a new place. Regardless of her worries, though, the lady gently rang the bell for service after she’d swept the countertop to find it; her silent dignity making it slightly hard to tell what she was doing to compensate for her eyesight from what was merely a flourish. The sound of footsteps opposite her made Natasha finally open her eyes – it would probably be fairly easy for the chipper innkeeper to take note of her guest’s glassy gaze when she arrived, but nonetheless the witch faced her newfound host with a gentle smile. Though still dressed in her heavy travelling clothes, Natasha’s serene features at least made her size and dress a bit less imposing… hopefully. ”Please excuse my short notice, particularly on an evening such as this; but is there still a room available? I would be interesting in some long-term lodgings, if it’s possible.” stated Natasha carefully, veiling her nerves with eloquence… yes, above all, be elegant. Ah, why was she worried, anyway? She was the predator around here, after all… ”I’m afraid I can only give the down payment for a month or so at the moment, unfortunately; as I am still unsure about how long I will be in town. But, if that suits you all the same, I think we should have a deal.” Though she felt calmer now that she had said her piece, Natasha’s brow furrowed – a familiar scent lingered near her, putting her somewhat ill-at-ease. Trouble was brewing, somewhere beyond her… ah, she hated to have to be the one negotiating like this. It made her feel utterly out of place…

The kind of adventurers that arrived Noy's inn were all... special in a way. The reputation that preceded the Inn was 'good' enough to keep others away but for those fearless enough to withstand the consequences this was just the right place to be.
Noy is usually never in the Inn's counter. She loves to wander around the place, clean up and play with the chairs and tables from time to time to kill boredom. Today she was feeling calm for some reason. She was sitting on a chair close to her counter with her legs on the table next to it and drinking some tea. It was getting late outside and it seemed to be a quiet night as well until...
"My my..."
The sight of a new adventurer walking in and reaching for the counter surprised her. Not only was she new but she also seemed to have difficulties walking by using a cane... Or was that her way to deceive people around her perhaps? Noy ignored all this. The girl was cute and she seemed to be in a rush to get to the counter, was she escaping from something? In any case that didn't matter. Noy's eyes sparkled as a new prey entered her territory.
"is there still a room available?"
" I think we should have a deal."
Was this girl for real? Those were sadly the only words that Noy could hear while thinking of ways to approach her but this girl, the possibilities... This would probably be the only chance Noy would have to take advantage of a situation like this.
Noy stood up from her chair and left her cup on the table, she licked her upper lip while staring at her new guest, almost savoring her blood as she walked towards her. A direct approach would totally ruin what was in her mind and it has been a while since she took advantage of the element of surprise... Might as well give it a try right? Noy walked straight up behind her guest, her scent and her careless approach to the counter, not noticing Noy almost next to her was just too good to let go. She wanted a bite, she wanted to taste this girl's blood but just doing so straight away wouldn't mean a thing. It had to be something more... priceless.
"Well well~" Said Noy with a low voice, her left arm sliding around her waist without touching her but to restrain her if she were to move forward. Her right hand just behind her head in case she tried to use it against her. "What do we have here?~" With her left hand, Noy carefully reached out to her new guest's pouch and took the coins required for lodging. "Are you lost now my dear puppy? That's alright~ Your monthly fee's been payed already but..." Noy leaned forwards now, her chest pressing against the girl's back and her mouth just close enough to her prey's ear, this time whispering "If you wish to give me an extra, I'd gladly accept the offer~".

Admittedly, Natasha had been expecting this sort of trouble right off the bat – the rumours about the owner’s eccentricity and all that fuss over her being some nasty creep… well, anyone with any pride in their nature would have surely shut down that sort of talk if they were as central to a town as an innkeeper, but it was now clear that the lady probably intended to encourage that sort of reputation. The blonde closed her eyes, brow furrowing with irritation again… just, keep your head clear, and calm down, Natasha! This sort of nonsense just came with this sort of life. And this sort of person… ah, she just wanted to swat away annoying flies like this. Though she could feel the lady’s presence before she was touched through the air around her, Natasha twitched upon being grabbed all of a sudden – being blind, getting that sort of treatment without warning was not very welcome. Her scowl only became more pronounced, but nonetheless she stood her ground… though the final whisper made her shift her head away from the unwanted intrusion, all too annoyed by this manner of attention. Though, the weight on her back was a bit pleasant… ah, but girls like this just weren’t her type. ”I think it’s considered proper manners to actually tell me how much I’m paying before you pick my pockets, Miss.” scolded Natasha firmly, grabbing her purse closed with her host’s hand still in it; ”If you are so pitiful as to beg for a tip like a dog, perhaps you should offer to lick my boots clean. If that’s not the case, though; I’d like it if you let go of me. Otherwise I’ll just drag you to my room as well, and I don’t think that will lead to quite what you’re hoping for.”But, then a particular vicious smirk lit up the witch’s face, eyes opening once again as she glanced back in Noy’s direction – and making her threat quite clear. ”I don’t particularly enjoy playing with mongrels, but I suppose I should graciously entertain my landlord regardless of her lack of dignity. I don’t really consider such paltry meat up to my standards, but I am hungry…” With that, though; the blonde relaxed; not especially keen on picking a fight with whoever was giving her a room in the first place. ”Now, my name is Natasha Pajari… tell me my number and give me my key, and I’ll consider letting your take your payment.”

It has been a while since Noy had such a fierce guest in her Inn. No one has dared to face her given her reputation and she was pretty much used to it. Noy smiled. Every word out of Natasha's mouth was nothing but a soul crying out loud for some amusement, or so she thought. Feeling the strength of the girl holding her hand off her purse was even impressive, she would have to give her props for that later but now...
"Aren't you speaking with a lot of confidence here miss?" Noy cleared her throat and removed her arms forcefully off Natasha, if she was relaxing or let her guard down she would be able to feel the force used by Noy to escape her grasp. "This place is mine and for that you owe me respect. Whether I treat my..." She glanced over Natasha once more while walking off her to the other side of the counter "food with it or without it is none of your business" Noy's personally slowly changed, her human side kicking in to avoid having her other guests to notice the small discussion both of them were having and of course, to have guards back her up in case things get rough.
"Let's see here now..." Noy carefully took out her account book and held Natasha's hand softly this time, with her other hand she handed her a plume with ink to sign the contract for her room. "You don't want me as an enemy miss. Here, sign in the book that's right just below your hand... I'll guide you if you allow me to" Noy's voice completely changed now, she was more serious and acted more calmly. That and because some guards were around, the kind that likes her and the ones that she usually take advantage of.
"It will be 30 silver coins and you won't have to worry about it for another month, the key to your room will be..." for someone like this girl it would be best to keep her close "Number 13, past this counter all the way to the back, then turn to the right..." Some final words for Natasha were needed to seal the difference of authority between the two of them "Oh and miss, making myself your enemy is making this whole city your enemy. I'm pretty sure a... smart adventurer like you wouldn't want that right? My name is Noy. If you'd like to rent the room I'll be happy to have you here. I'm sure we won't have any problems in the future, Right Miss Pajari?~" And just as loud enough for the guards around to listen, her job was done.

Well, this was certainly a fine way to spend an evening. It wasn’t an unsurprising turn of events, as the innkeeper acted just as most did when they had such haughty attitudes to begin with. They had power, so they tried to exploit it; then turned and squealed as soon as they got opposed. Ah well, at least she’d made her point. She wasn’t really a fan of making enemies, but she’d already gotten a pretty clear message that this kid wasn’t someone she wanted as a friend to begin with. Staying at an inn where someone had already tried to rob her wasn’t exactly inviting, but… it’d do. She’d most certainly be looking into personal housing in a hurry, anyway. ”I’m glad you know some manners. I believe I treated you with respect to begin with, but it would seem you’re a bit too touchy to consider the same for your customers. A bit concerning, given your spotty reputation, but… you’re right. I won’t judge you too harshly for how you run your own business.” replied Natasha, immediately calm once more – be elegant, of course! That smirk had disappeared already, replaced with the usual gentle smile. ”Thank you for getting down to business, in any case.”Tracing the innkeeper’s directions, Natasha signed as requested – a surprisingly fanciful signature, not doubt developed from a lot of practice, but admittedly at a bit of a skewed angle… not that she could tell what angle the book was in to begin with. ”I’m afraid ‘adventurer’ doesn’t quite describe me, but I appreciate the compliment and the idle warning. It’s a pleasure to meet you properly, Miss Noy.” Though unfailingly polite now, internally the witch was rather entertained by the show she’d gotten. Enemy of the whole city thanks to this lady? Wasn’t she the one with the shady reputation here? Well, it wasn’t to be her business in any case, so whatever floated her boat. ”Just be a good girl, and we’ll get along just fine~”Anyone having to throw threats like that around was a bit petty to begin with. Jumping to others over something so trivial… ah, it was a bit cute, actually! This might be fun after all. But, with her key on hand, and her host being so considerate to give directions, she thought it unwise to tease too much already. Quickly feeling through her purse to assure herself of the money remaining, Natasha gave her a polite nod for her troubles – kudos for being considerate of her disability, at the very least. ”Thank you for being forthright. I hope you have a pleasant evening, and do think of stopping by and chatting with me sometime. I wouldn’t mind some friendly company, particularly from someone who knows this town better than me.”Ah, but Natasha wouldn’t leave too much time for a reply… she didn’t like being stuck with a home with nary a hint of her tastes in it. Taking the lady’s directions with relative ease (if one ignored the occasion guiding hand), the blonde would take her leave into her quarters after finding the keyhole. But, if anyone were especially observant in the moment she slipped around the door, they might have caught a glimpse of something unpleasant skittering out of the demure maiden’s collar… and a tiny smirk on those graceful features. Well, the start of a web was always the hard part, but with such entertainment as her innkeeper around, perhaps it was worth some effort to make it something beautiful. Err, hopefully Noy was wise enough not to try and clean her guest’s room in a hurry, though… while catching the fly in a net was an entertaining thought, she didn’t really want to give the innkeeper that sort of trouble over something so well-intended just yet…
